You are welcome here.
A friendly greeting at the door, old friends and new chatting in the entry, children and youth playing in fellowship hall, beautiful music ringing out from all corners. These are the first things you’ll notice when you come on Sunday. This church feels like home.
Wear what you’re comfortable in, whether it’s a suit, a nice dress, or jeans and a t-shirt. Bring your own coffee, or stop into fellowship hall to get some; it’s always fresh and hot! Then make your way into the sanctuary to hear God’s Word. Sit where you like, there are no seating charts here!
Your children are welcome here.
Children and youth are an integral part of Ada Congregational Church. Our vision of love, welcome and justice applies to all stages of life. More than children’s programming – we believe in intergenerational experiences!
On Sunday mornings, children are invited to sit and worship with you. Drawing and coloring supplies are available as you enter the church. We also offer nursery care for young children and SHINE Sunday School for 3 years old through 8th grade during 10 am worship. Following a brief children’s message in the sanctuary Sunday school begins.
Questions?
What time does service start?
Services start at 10:00 am and typically last 1 hour.
Where do my children go?
Children 3 and under are welcome to play in our nursery. You can introduce them to the nursery attendants at any time. Sunday school for older children will start after a few minutes of the service. We will invite all children up front for a short message, then lead everyone back to their classrooms. You can pick them up in their classroom after service.
How do I find the coffee?
When you enter the front door, turn left and make your way into fellowship hall. Kitchen hosts are happy to assist you. The coffee makers brew coffee on demand, so there is no need to worry about running out!
What if I have questions while I’m there?
Don’t worry, we are here to help! Look for the Welcome Center in the church entry; it’s under the TV screen. There is always someone there to answer questions or help you find your way.
Can I participate in communion?
Yes! All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. We have an open table and celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. Regardless of age or church affiliation, all are invited to partake of the elements. Our general practice is to have the congregation walk forward to receive a piece of bread and a cup of juice from the deacons. Gluten free elements are labeled.
